Traditional Chinese epidemiology studies how to understand the law of the emergence and development of epidemic diseases and how to prevent and treat and rehabilitate such diseases under the guidance of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). In view of this
the present study analyzes the meaning of reconstructing ideological and political education in the course Traditional Chinese Epidemiology within the framework of grand narrative and explores the key problems in the teaching practice. Specifically
we investigated the balance between the solemnity of grand narrative and the affinity of ideological and political education
the integration of quality professional education and real mastery of ideological and political content
and the consideration of both the individual characteristics of the independent discipline and the homogeneity of TCM education. Based on the above analysis
we came up with specific implementation strategies for ideological and political education in the course to promote such education
incorporate the theoretical features of epidemiology and the spiritual core of the ideological and political education in professional courses and facilitate the development of relevant discipline.
