The present research aims to investigate the status quo of and the need to develop medical students′ positive views of manual work

further improve labor education

and cultivate such labor attitudes through practice. We first identified students′ understanding of labor education and clarified that such education is responsible for improving their overall quality and all-round development. To this end

not only colleges and universities should make efforts

but all sectors of society should join in various forms such as collaboration between families and schools. Taking medical students as an example

we then explored four paths

i.e. moral guidance

professional courses

workplaces and collaboration to organically combine school education

family education

and social education to achieve positive attitudes towards labor and all-round development of students.
